I jumped on the bandwagon and drew a Sugar Rush character because…when I walked out of Wreck-It Ralph, I was filled with an intense longing to work at Disney Animation as a character designer/story artist so this is just me being wildly self-indulgent and pretending to be a Disney artist…My friends said I would be a sour candy (black cherry Warhead??) hehehe

I loved Wreck-It Ralph!! I had a stupid grin on my face throughout the entire film. The images and designs were novel and beautiful, everything story-wise was so refreshing, the lead female characters were so dynamic and unconventional, even though it was a “kid’s movie”…And the animation…there were tiny little facial expressions/moments of acting that were so…natural.

If Brave wins Best Animated Feature over this…n-no it just can’t

First part of my Skeletal Disney series, inspired by a close med school friend of mine who loves Disney Princesses and skeletons/zombies. I did these for her birthday, which is conveniently just before Halloween :)

(And on top of that, I’m studying human anatomy right now and literally have a box of bones to use as reference)

No really, the film looks beautiful, but come on now, Pixar!  That dead horse was good and beaten by the time Titanic came out, no need to dredge up anachronistic narrative tropes.

A lot of aspects of this movie are tired and cliche, besides this. This movie could have been so rich, fantastic and new but even after the new trailer, the movie still feels like it’s been 1000x times before. But whatever, it’s Pixar, they’ll automatically win the Oscar and make tons of money so who cares, pff

But yeah I agree with Claire—God forbid a woman be fashionable or remotely socially normal as well as brave, daring, and kickass. Because, you know, femininity and awesomeness are mutually exclusive.

I HAVE TWO WEEKS OF COLLEGE CLASSES LEFT.

Also, another symptom of senioritis: today I got home, spent 10 minutes writing an outline for my paper and decided I accomplished a lot today and now I’m watching a movie
